This selection was discovered in the garden of the President of the University of Illinois by Roy Klehm. Unlike the tree form of Buckeye, the Bottlebrush Buckeye grows in a multi-stemmed shrub form and only reaches 6-12 feet in height. It produces very showy flowers in the summer and grows well in shade.
