TreeFest and Tree Week

TreeFest & Tree Week

TreeFest Coming April 12th, 2025

TreeFest was introduced to Louisville in 2022 as a way to celebrate Arbor Day and provide community members with an opportunity to learn more about and appreciate our community forest.

On one Saturday in April we engage volunteers to plant trees in a park, as well as offer family friendly activities, eco-friendly vendor booths, a tree giveaway, and the opportunity to learn from different “green” organizations in our city. Live music, food and drinks are also available, making for an ideal afternoon to sit in a park and take in the scenery.

If you would like to participate in the next TreeFest contact morgan@treeslouisville.org.

Tree Week will Return in 2025!

Tree Week takes place every year for a full week in mid-October to engage our community in celebrating and raising awareness of the value of our urban forest. Local organizations, businesses, and individuals across Jefferson County host tree-centric events, including tree planting and care activities, nature walks, book clubs, nature arts and crafts, K-12 programming, film showings, speaker sessions, and much more!
