Job Opportunity: Youth Arboriculture Summer Training Program

TreesLouisville is seeking multiple high school-age applicants for seven-week long summer Arboriculture/Plant Health Care/Data Collection Technician paid positions. Trainees will work with supervisors to learn tree identification and gain hands-on experience in tree best management practices, tree health evaluation and GIS data collection. Trainees will work in the field inspecting our tree planting projects and participate in enrichment activities, including field trips to local tree nurseries, arboreta and other horticultural destinations like Yew Dell Gardens and Cave Hill Cemetery.

Trainees will be scheduled to work 32 hours per week over the seven-week program: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm. Reliable transportation (car, bus, bike) to the TreesLouisville office (3110 Lexington Rd., 40206) is mandatory.
